Due I suppose, to several factors including using tank water and live sand from my display, well cured liverock, and mostly base rock, I never saw any ammonia, nitrite and there's a non-detect on nitrate in our nano. I even fed the featherdusters with blender mush and still no ammonia. We did get a blush of cyano on the sand and a few places on the rock, but I put a couple of blue-legs, astreas and three nassarious and that disapppeared. The star polyps have been on the return for a week and no ill effects so, while doing some rearranging of my display, I found a cute little colony of Pocillipora that had bailed out from it's mom some time in the past. Talking another page from Calfo's propogation book, I epoxied the Pocillipora onto the return in the front of the tank. In theory as it grows up towards the light, it'll completely hide the return and you'll get a more 3D effect as you look past the colony into the tank.

Since we're still thinking lagoonal setup, here's our first softie, a Cladiella frag from Seacrop (all the corals will come from either our tanks or Seacrop as we're going completely with frags.)

I've had some good success with Yellow Leathers, (though they're reputed to be more difficult to keep) so here's our frag of Sarcophyton elegans:

We'd hoped for a long-polyped fluorescent green Sarcophyton, but while they were selling for $50 for awhile on eBay, suddenly they've gotten very scarce and the few I've seen are well over $100 for a 1" frag. The price jumped up so fast, I even had a vendor who'd posted his price as $30 about to ship me one, then suddenly just stopped communicating with me.
Anyway, we got this short-tentacled one from Seacrop for considerably less, and he's a double-head!

Of course, we'll be sticking zoanthid of all varieties to the back wall amongst the softies, here's the first colonists, an orange-eyed brownie.

Tim,
I used super glue gel after drying the end of the coral to increase adhesion.
