I'll post some rather boring pics of the empty tank and the rock cooking in the cooler tonight
And here they are...

If I only knew how to make them bigger than thumbnails you would really be able to see the awesome beauty and splendor of a completely empty tank

I think its a bit cheeky

I bought a used Aqua C EV 120 and a PFO 150W MH pendant for it this past weekend. I have an idea that I need assistance with....
Would it be feasable to just remove the glass bottom and replace the bottom with star/cutting board? I was thinking that I could get complete bottom coverage without having a track all the way around the bottom that will collect detritus if I don't have to make the starboard fit inside the silicone. Instead, the whole bottom would be starboard which would also make it much easier to drill/plumb. Curious to see if anyone has tried it.

your thinking to hard.
just sillycone around the edge of the starboard. that will seal it enough to not let any detritus underneath it.
i would not try removing the glass. i am not sure of the holding capacity of sillycone on the starboard. i am pretty sure it will work as a sealant, but i am not so sure i would trust it as an adhesive. expecially one that determines if there will be a flood or not.

Yea, the silicone will work to seal it off around the edges inside the tank, but starboard is likely to be more like teflon as far as sticking it together with glass or acrylic. It is PVC, I think, which can be stuck to itself but not much else.
