No holes yet...hopefully this weekend. I am still waiting on the hole saws to get here from Hong Kong, two 30mm saws shipped to Georgia...$11 . The stand is fisnished, well the exterior is finished, still have to sand and paint the bottom of the inside. I will post a pic of it this evening. Next I will have to start the hood.
BLFuller123 gave me this link. He has used saws from this store before. Great prices! http://cgi.ebay.com/40mm-Diamond-coa...QQcmdZViewItem

Quick snap shots of stand. I really need to learn how to use this camera so all the pics won't have the bright flash spot on them. Check out the door knob

Stand looks nice!
That's the same store I got my diamond bits from, very good quality for the price. I think I've drilled around 20 1/8" thick holes on one bit and it still cuts fine.

Went to Brett's house this am. We drilled 6 holes in the tank and made the sump, it was really more 'he' than 'we' First pic is a full shot of the bottom. Second is two holes on one of the sides. Third shot is in the middle of the back, larger hole is for the 1" durso, smaller is for the return on the closed loop. Fourth is a pic of the sump looking down into it. Fifth is is the sump laying on its side. The back corners will be for return water supply and the front corners will be return for the closed loop. My idea is that the two Closed loop returns in the front will blow detritus up the back glass and into the overflow which will be in the middle.

Probably be after Christmas on the plumbing...need that code for Blue Zoo...need to finish the inside of the stand and build the hood...etc, etc, etc.

Got off my butt today and finished the stand.
Pic 1. Took the top panel off and drilled the holes for the plumbing in it.
Took the panel to Lowes and had the paint guy match up an exterior latex to paint the indside of the stand...I would call the color 'Milk Chocolate'. Anyhow, the inside is sealed and painted.
Pic 2. From the side with the holes aligned (it doesn't appear that the holes in 'back' of the picture, which is the right side of the tank align, but it is a bad angle and they actually line up quite well).
Pic 3. Taped off and sprayed the back of the tank black.

I sillyconed in all the bulkheads and started to make the hood. It will take one more trip to Lowes or HD to finish the top trim. The overflow configuration is somewhat visible also, it was made as if it would go in the corner but the diagonal is against the center of the back glass and it takes up 1/2 of the floor space. Hopefully it will be better suited for the flow. (Center of tank and 'V' shaped as you look in from the front).

Finished the construction of the hood and bought the hardware to mount the top to the hood. I took the hood and it's top to my dad's for Christmas so that I could fill in all the screw holes and start staining/poly. I got it stained and one coat of poly on. (pics tomorrow) Only problem is that I left the top at his house which is a 2 1/2 hour drive each way. Oh well, thanks to the table saw that BLFuller123 gave me and the orbital sander that my dad gave me for Christmas, I'll probably just make another top tomorrow.
