Thanks, but im still working on getting better shots, and fixing the tank up. Both of these were local frags from customers, the first one was just on its last legs, I should of caught it but I didn' t know better. I just wanted it so bad, and it was only 15 bucks. Things have started to take off since i got my new job at LFS, yea I said it I'm a cherry picker. I even added a flasher wrasse, not that I can see him anymore, I think the female clown scared it off.

I was just sitting down to take my gen chem final last night and one of the guys in my class hands me a bag full of mushrooms...
I was shocked, I didn't know what to do with them so I put it under my shirt to keep it warm, it looked like I was pregnant. My teacher was looking at like I was cheating or somthing.

anyway here are the pics with out further adue...

Thanks for the great feedback. I like how it is looking but I want it to be able to stay that way long term. I am still learning proper husbandry and I am open to any sugestions.

I am thinking about lifting the rock off the cc on eggcrate and have spraybars underneath inorder to vacume properly. I am running dual filtration till I get a skimmer going.

I am allready dreaming of turning this tank into a super fuge w/ my two f. percs, and making a new display for 2 GSM's in a 28-40 gal dispaly. Would they disturb a DSB? (it doesent matter, because this is way off)

...December Update...

I pulled out all the rocks and vacumed under them.
I also pushed most of the substrate into the front with thr base rocks mostly on the glass po prevent collapse and build up of debre. I also aimed the powerhead down low to to keep the water movement high.

The new Xenia is doing great, but I fraged it into 4 pieces since it grew onto 2 different rocks.

With all the gravel pushed to the front the anemone has buried its base aan has expaned its reach. Will they sting mushrooms or star polyps?

I also added a Bali Tiger Jawfish and opistol shrimp to inhabit the new substrate drift.

Will the Jawfish pose a threat to a pistol shrimp?

Sorry I'm not familiar with a Bali Jawfish, sounds interesting, can't wait to see pics!

I've had to put all the rock and corals sitting on the substrate onto PVC pilings to keep them from collapsing, my goby/pistol shrimp pair are excavating a new Chunnel in the tank!

Just getting my Red Sea Prism skimmer dialed in, its a bit louder than I expected, but I got a hell of a deal on it at work. My boss gave us gift certificates as a bonus, so I paid only 42$ out of pocket.
It is rated for 100 Gal, but I doubt it would be powerfull enough.
Im not sure if I should run my filter along with the skimmer now?

YardBoy, the jaw fish is doing well, not digging as much as I expected.
A pic might be hard to manage since it is in hiding, and my camera is in NY with my SO.

You have other fish in the tank, correct? Maybe that's why he isn't diggng so much? I'm going to try that, not sure what fish yet, maybe a little clown in an anemone, since my BTA split.

Whew! I didn't want to talk bad about your skimmer, just like my parents didn't want to talk about my ugly girlfriend in high school, but now that you're "broke-up", I'm so relieved you're getting a decent skimmer. I've heard nothing but negativity about the one you had. Now you can pull some junk out!
thanks for the update.

Doh!

Dont add a juvinial clownfish to an established pair!

Man what a bone headed move on my part, the female grabed it by its tail and swung it arround. I am glad I was able to bring it back, I didn't want it to die or spend its life in hiding. It was my failed atempt to train my pair to go to an anemone since this one allready bonded to a BTA. I need to just let nature take it's course. I'll have pics soon of my new BTA weather or not the clowns host to it.
I have been so busy I haven't had time to post that I finally got my skimmer dialed in. I needed to just let it run and full throtle the air valve to stop bubbles. It seems to be working well now.
