Jimm, do you have any pictures of the overflow box? I'd like to see one in action and also see how big it is. I've heard that it's too large for a tank Gwen's size. hehe

Nice job on the arch, did you drill those zip ties in or just use natural holes?

Good stuff from the beginning is the only way to go!!
Just used natural holes.
I think Darthteddy jinxed me asking about hair algae and my lights because I have it everywhere!! It's a mess- I added a few astreas and nothing happened so I added 15 hermits last night and they have eaten a good amount of it!! Tank isn't looking so pretty at the moment. I did a 4g water change on Thursday to help my nitrates. So much for feeding the bristle worms, but I do have a healthy population going
Thanks Cath- took lots of work to get the rock like that- wasn't that easy.

I went to a LFS last night and picked up a clam, 2 sticks, and a zoanthid frag. The hair algae mostly went away, but now I have a micro bubble problem from the skimmer and sorta a temp problem to work on.
Here is my new Crocea
My new fuzzy green sticks
My green skirt/orange skirt zoas- sorry, not a great picture
A birdsnest I got from Tony at the Feb ARC meeting
Another frag of zoas from the ARC meeting

Thanks alaskaknucklehead!
Well tonite I played in the nano for a few hours.
I decided there was too much rock which made it impossible to clean the glass. Everytime I went to scrape the glass, I would knock an SPS off the rock. That's what I get for having big hands!! Violent Femmes *big hands I know ur the one* ok anyways
So I took out a few lbs of rock, scraped more hair algae, and moved the powerheads around again in hopes that better flow will solve my problems.
I don't understand where all the phosphates/nitrates are coming from. I don't have to test either- I can see it!! I just can't seem to keep the rock clean- it has that fuzzy look to it- I added 6 more hermits tonite for a total of 31 in my nano!! I want that rock CLEAN!! I've been doing 4g water changes weekly to rid the hair algae. I scrubbed the rocks with a toothbrush also.
I can't figure out the problem. I guess that skimmer can't keep up that well?? I don't know.
