Actually saw the tiger pistol shrimp today. It was a celebratory moment.

Just posting a text update to conform to the rules and all.

I've made no big changes to equipment or livestock. Everything is plugging along and I'm hoping to see a branching hammer branch soon. I'll post pics sometimes after I clean the glass.

I suspect that the finnex fixture doesn't have quite the oomph I need and a 175 or 250w halide will be coming after taxtime.

Great looking! Your sig line is funny! I know what you mean. If I had one 6 feet long, I'd get him to dig the hole for a pool!

Made it through a five hour power outage a few nights back. Tempreture droped to 73 before it came back on. No losses, but a lot of stuff is getting ready to split, and I get teh feeling that didn't help.

Fantastic so far. How in the world do you get your tank stand level?

I love the "Euro" look of your tank even though honestly ive never seen a true "European" tank. Hows your plumbing working for you. And btw how much did it cost to get the tank built. I got some friends in washington. Might be worth getting them to ship it to me. Looks awsome BTW

Here's the FTS from January. I've got a bunch of stuff on the verge of going from 2 polyp to 3 (Especially my Blasto Ms) and I hope to have some exciting footage soon.

Going to have to put in a new sump. A 10 gallon is the biggest sump that'll fit without moving the stand away from teh wall(did the math). Detail in the DIY section.

My Blenny passed away yesterday. I'm not sure that he was ever eating properly. Everything else in the tank, the Xenia, the candycanes, the zoas, the hydnaphora are doing great. My Yellow Watchman goby is a happy camper.

Only forseeable problem is my Xenia is walking its way into other corals. I'm not sure how the blasto will take it, but I'm pretty sure that the Hydnaphora will win big.

I've been using a hagen 400 series power head as my return pump, I upgraded to a Mag5. I think that'll be the only change for the month, but it should have some pretty positive effects. Hopefully more current will stymie the flatworms.
