Thumbs up

Lonnie and Rina's Nano

Today is October 10, 2005. We are planning on joining the nano reef build off. We just purchased our tank today. It is a 10 gallon glass aquarium. The tank measures at 20" wide 12" high and 10" deep. It has a Aqua-tech 5-15 power filter and ez change cartridge. We will have a home made skimmer, 2 13w compact flourescent lights, a little home made moon light l.e.d phase controller and 2 200gph rio power heads with a closed loop system. We plan on having only 10 gallons of water in total. We plan on housing some colorful mushrooms, zooanthids, polyps, lps, such as brains frog spawn ect., feather dusters, and maybe hopefully an acropora frag, and whatever else we can come up with. We would like to house a true percula clown, 2 purple fire fish, a fireball angel (hopefully) bicolor blenny, and possibly a yellow clown goby. We will have about 10-20 lbs of live rock, and argranite sand.

Hi guys thanks for your advice on the amount of fish I'll have to reconsider how many I put in, This is my first Nano so I just wrote a figure on what I'd like in there but anyway here is my first update it's my Diy skimer a smaller scaled version of the remora. I don't know if it works yet but I'll know soon enough I'll try to test it today.

Hey guys, I cut and glued all the acrylic myself for you guys that asked, I finally got the tank set up here is a pic of the tank set up, My lights aren't in yet so it looks kind of yellow but here are some pics of my DIY skimmer seems to work pretty good so far. At first it spit up lots of water but now it's settled she's humming along pretty good.
