Ok ok since i cant get the actual tank started (i keep getting side tracked) i figured id throw up my opening post, with a pic of the tank in its present state in the hope that it may get me moving!
Add that to the fact that i finally got my dremel (well similar brand)(I wanted to do something a lil different that i couldnt use hole saws for

)
My plans arent concrete yet, i keep changing them, but ill tell you what i have planned so far.
All plans stem from a 14" cube. It has been holding surplus freshwater breeding stock, and is still actually housing a few fish and leftover plants.
So after i empty the tank....!!
I was originally planning to build a hangon refugium/sump and drill the back panel to overflow directly into and out of the hangon. Now im toying with just doing a typical sump/refugium design. Will probably depend on what cabinet/stand i can dig up. It occurs to me lately it would be a bit of a waste of a cube to block off one side with a refugium...
Anyway as you can tell by my other thread, im looking at putting a
flame hawk in, but i havent settled on that either.
It will be a mixed lps and
sps tank. Specific corals havent been decided as yet, and will probably be a matter of whatever suitable stuff i can find that catches my eye as time goes by.
The idea with the hangon was to create a 3 sided wall effect with rock, along the back and two sides.
If i go with the sump then i will probably do a rock-pile-in-the-middle type setup.
Lighting will be from Blue Zoo, in the form of power compacts - Mini Aqualights - probably two of these, which would be 2x9w actinic and 2x9w 10000k.
So there a few decisions to be made as you can see!
