5 gallon sps nano NANO BUILD OFF

I intend to build a 5 gallon sps tank. Maybe a few softies and a fish or two. Primarily an sps tank. I also intend to spend as little money as possible but you never know ,right?

This tank is currently my quarantine tank. I will empty it and start from scratch.
It is a 5 gallon (I think, but Ill tell you for sure when I fill it) acrylic hex front.
I plan on using an air stone skimmer, one power head, and heater.
Lighting is still up in the air. I want to do a 75 watt mh but that might be expensive so I could go PC.
Wish me luck, Im gonna win!!!hehe

ok ive rethought it and decided to go with a 10 gal (petsmart has them for 9.99)

So here it is with a mere 7.6 lbs of rock and shes currently curing ill check the perameters in a few days and add a little more live rock.
I think ill hide the maxijet behind live rock and make plumming to go around the tank.
Im not going to run a skimmer or filter.

Welcome to the NBO!

Why not go barebottom if it's going to be a SPS tank?

yea, SPS require perfect water quality and high flow. A DSB will leave your water a bit dirty (good for softies) and will limit the amount of flow you can have, because if you have too much, the sand will go all over the place.

Just an FYI... other than that, looks awesome already!
