Thanks for the frags! They seem to be doing well. I'm not sure what all is going on with my tank. One of my corals that I had gotten online and thought was doing well died, but the carnation coral that I thought was dead seems to be coming back to life. It was all dried out and shriveled looking and hadn't inflated at all in over a week, but now it's starting to. I guess that makes me even. My hawiian featherduster has left his tube and it looks like his back end has been attacked by something, like it's been eaten away partly. My
pistol shrimp had been doing some digging and had partially buried him, so I don't know if it would have also attacked him? Any idea if he'll live or not? Will he just build another tube? His 'feathers' are extended as normal, but he's completely out of his tube and halfway across the tank. My little
yellow clown goby is also missing. I tried to look for him in the back chambers in case he jumped in like the hi finned had, but I didn't see him (it is difficult to get back there, so it's still possible he's hiding). He had arrived pretty thin when they shipped him and I never saw him eat, so it's possible he didn't make it and the scavengers got him. I rubber banded that colt coral to a rock, but it's come off twice now. Is it ok to really wrap it around there tight? Will that cut off circulation or something? It seemed pretty tight already, but I've been playing with my water flow, so I think that might be the problem. Whew... I think that's it for the newbie news. Thanks again for helping me get more of a start!
