The flasher wrasse is still there? That's surprising to me, since it's so nice and at a pretty good price. Anyway, I saw the flame scallop in there a few days ago when I was there, and it looked pretty rough. I'm pretty sure they don't do well in most peoples' tanks, especially a young bare-bottom tank like Jim has there since he moved.

If you have them in an established tank and spot feed them they are fine I have two at the moment and they are amazing to watch.

Any chance you can post pictures? $70 isn't all that bad for a store here in EC, especially if they're really nice clams. Crocea? Maxima? What colors??

When Jim got the flame scallop in, he just shook his head. He didn't order it, as he knows how poorly they ship and how difficult it is to keep them long-term.

Thats a spotted derassa. The smooth shell is the give away. Squamosa's and crocea's have rough outer shells.
