Tanks for drilling needed

Does anyone have a non-tempered tank/s that can be used for the drilling demo? I just want to get an idea of how many, if any, we can have for the demo.

Brian,
I don't know if the demo guy would be willing to drive all the way to Onalaska for the demo... can you make it to any of the other meetings? I'd be willing to host the drilling demo meeting, in Menomonie, if you can make it to one of the upcoming meetings after June. Maybe we can have the June meeting at your place; discussion on SW Chemistry and Parameters would work for this meeting.
Thanks, Sheli Jo

How many members are able to make the June meeting if we have it in Onalaska?

I can't beleive it. It looks like I have all the the meeting dates free so far except for the July date. So, yes I should be able to make it up there for any meeting (except July) that the tank drilling demo is done. I figured that the tank drilling demo would be done at one of the meetings up there, but I had to try. I can also host either the June or August meetings.

I don't have any tanks for drilling at this point (unless someone knows how to drill a tank full of water in the upper corner) but that would be tough to bring up there with me. I'd be willing to buy a 10 gallon tank for the drilling demo (or possibly a 45 gallon if I can find a good deal on one).

I have both an acrylic (that is already drilled) and a glass tank that I will be more than happy to donate for the drilling demonstration. Just let me know...

be carful with the 10 gal glass tanks
I've found they are to thin to drill with out breaking

I would suggest you go to a glass shop and get some 1/4" thick panes

Thanks everyone! I guess that I get worried about nothing. I'm just one that needs to plan ahead on things. I'm sure that we will have enough to get a great demo from Superman.

I may be able to come up with one remind me in a while here. I have to find out if the tank is good.

I have drilled tanks full of water before, in the upper corner of course with the water drained just below where drilling. It was a 180 gallon reef tank.

his nerves are not the only things made of steel

I have a 20L that has been drilled on one end, but could always be drilled on the other end as well, if you would like another. JLMK.
