sump/fuge

would anyone here that lives pretty close to me be willing to help me plump and help me make a DIY sump/fuge? i would be willing to pay you some money for your time. it just gets very upsetting to me when i cant keep my trates below 20ppm. so i think it is time for a sump/fuge setup. let me know what i would need for the project. i am not a very good DIY person, so i would probably screw it all up....

I have never plumbed a sump or fuge but I did look on other boards and auction sites and did find a hang on fuge with lites for about 75$. I will keep my eyes open if you would like one

Chuck,
i was thinking about getting a HOB fuge, but honestly what good are they? most of them can only hold 2 - 3 gallons of water. my main reason for getting one would be to increase flow, control nutrients (nitrates), grow macros, grow a pod farm. if you can nail it in my head that the HOB fuges can do these things then yes i would be more then willing to use a HOB fuge.

but if i decide to go the HOB route yes keep me in mind for them.

Chuck, or anyone else.....

i also forgot to ask, i having small water chemistry problems, i can not keep my CA or dKH up and in balance. i do my 5g w/c every week and my w/c water tests real good for CA 400-450ppm and dKH 9 - 10.5, but i can not keep it past 360ppm Ca, and 8 dKH in my tank. what are some things i can do? everyone i ask tells me to do w/c's but i do them weekly. and if i dose my superbuffer dKH and my liquid CA it will go up for one day then it will drop back down again. it will not stay put. and my corals are not liking it, very very slow growth with all of them. any ideas? sounds like a buffering problem, or maybe a MG problem. any help?
