We finally got rid of that godawful 42 hex tank (anyone want it?

) and replaced it with a 65 gallon tank. We've got a bit of chaeto in one corner and some small bits of other plants from the tank move.
The
green hairy mushroom is splitting again, we have a few various snails and hermit crabs, a maroon clown, a large black neon damsel and a foxface lo now.
Initially, the damsel and foxface were at odds. Er, or really, the damsel didn't take kindly to the new guy.
The foxface won. It took some tail nipping and a couple of brushes with the spines, but the damsel is more than happy to leave him alone now.
The big damsel was $2 at Tropic Waters; someone had dropped him off there saying that he was too aggressive. Seems that he acts like a normal damsel to me.
My cichlids are nastier than this damsel.

For the life of me, I can't remember where we got the clown. The foxface came from World of Fish in the twin cities. Kind of funny too, Jake (the employee that we worked with) asked if I wanted him to feed the fish first to make sure it was eating well, and I said yes.
Downside: The foxface was sharing a tank with two HUGE triggers.

I could see that the poor thing wanted to eat from the stick of
frozen mysis shrimp, but the triggers kept getting in the way (and even bit the poor employee once!).
Once he got the triggers distracted at the other end of the tank, the foxface started eating like he'd never seen food before. Very good sign!
I'm hoping the snails, which we also picked up with the foxface, will decide to clean off the back of the aquarium glass so I don't have to. I hate scraping the back of the tank!
World of Fish has some spectacular bettas, as an aside.
There were some gorgeous half moon butterflies there. I'm sure I saw butterfly crowntail as well, but didn't stop to look too closely.
I don't have room for more tanks, and the betta tank that I do have is currently occupied by a betta who is not nice to ANY fish, let alone other bettas.
