stars with my rock from greg

This was funny. Well, if you are easily ammused that is. lol.
I was looking into the tank with a magnifying glass, as I saw this 'thing' that looked like a hair, but I didn't think it was a hair.
Well, it is a teeny tiny....brittle star, or serpant star...I really am not sure which.....really small...... * body just bigger than that!!!
Then...I saw several white sea stars, very small, chubby little suckers.
Was fun to find something other than what I put in there.
Musta not liked Greg and hitchhiked home with me when I bought my rock....poor greg!!!!!

Yeah, those things are great. When you get a bunldle of them some time down the road look for them when you feed the tank. They come out of every nook and cranny in the tank (I don't know if I have any crannies but I know I got lots of nooks) and climb all over the place.

Are you talking about one of the two types of stars in the picture below? I have a few of the top (skinney) ones and a ton of the bottom (stumpy) ones. You can buy the stumpy ones from ipsf.com The skinney ones do not multiply too quickly, but the small, stumpy ones do. If anyone wants some of the stumpy ministars, let me know. They only grow to about 1" max, but usually stay under 1/2". I have a bunch of them. That is part of the benefits (and disadvantages) of buying LR from a store - you never know what you are going to find.

Gwen he has an extra leg!!!!

Rotties I think something in the tank eats them reguarly but only enought so that they will live to regenerate. About 80 percent of mine look like that but the other 20 percent are some where between that and whole.

I think you told me once that you were from this area. I'm up in EC often, but usually have a pretty busy schedule. I used to go to Cumberland every summer, but that hasn't happened for a while now. If I'm up in the Cumberland area I'll let you know, otherwise maybe we could meet at one of the ECRC meetings.
