Snail?

This morning when my lights came on I found a weird sanil. About the sized of a quater round. Small shell in the middle, and it has like a cape that covers the whole thing which makes it round. Thought is was a new mushroom or something, then I saw some antenna coming out and it was moving. So I caught him and put him in another tank cause I don't know what he is. Kinda like a dark purplish black color. I caught a little one like him a bout 5 months ago, but crushed his shell trying to pick him out. I know I have more in my tank, cause i seen three in there the other night, but didn't feel like digging around trying to get them out.

Doesn't really look like that. It cape covers the whole snail, and their is just a little shell in the middle. No exposed shell
