sea star/dead?

my sea star lost a leg...hasn't moved in a couple days. I am assuming he is dead and I should remove him....is this a correct assumption? I hate to move him around if he is not dead, but he doesn't look to alive.

Sorry to hear that, Linda. We'll play taps...tap the keg, I mean. Although I think that sea stars often play dead and make a comeback. I know when I fishsit for lfish they had many which would appear without a leg or two for a few days.

get him to the hospital QUICK!!! i know that cpr won't work but, maybe a little bubble resusitation would work. or some bandaging. i say make him a little bed in a hospital... it's worth a try.

lol, he was far beyond repair......and life. was justa gonner. I think he was probably poorly aclimated in the first place, then came here and was already on his way out. Some lfs just dump them in the tank....that just doesn't work. Done with sea stars for now, except for the itsy bitsy ones that came on my LR from Greg's store. Done with everything right now....got the flu...........so much fun......yippee. Later. (Maybe the flu will give ya'll a break from me for a while...lol)
