Exclamation

Scratch that!

I came out to the living room tonight as I can't seem to fall asleep.
Didn't want to wake the fish by flipping on any of the lights, so I plugged in an old reptile striplight that's fitted with a blacklight tube.

The bubbletip...

....IS ON THE SIDE OF THE GLASS!

I have no idea how or why it moved that far from where it was, but it's plastered itself on the side of the glass like a big tentacle-y booger.
I'm not sure how/why there was a melted mucousy looking mess on the rock where it used to be situated.

Somehow I have the feeling that this guy is going to cause me no end of scares by doing stuff like this.
If I didn't know better, I'd swear this anemone likes to freak me out!

Although it does make me glad that I had the small bout of insomnia.
I feel a bit better about my anemone keeping abilities now that I know he's not actually dead! I know I felt awful when I thought the poor thing had died, as did my husband. I'll be good and refrain from waking him up to tell him that the anemone isn't dead.

Good to hear that the BTA is still alive. Not sure what the mucousy looking mess would be. I have had a BTA move all the way across my 125 (6 ft) over a matter of under an hour. Thankfully, it hasn't moved again in the past year. When they decide to move, they can move along way quickly.

Mine's going great. I was planning on posting a pic of you, but I haven't got around to it yet. It has not spit or moved since a couple days after I got it.
