saltwater mollies


just wondering if anyone has any of these. went to tropic waters yesterday to get my feeders and some new veggie clips and seen a pair in one of their tanks, kinda interesting seeing them in there....used to have them in a freshtank fun lil guys to watch,,,

just wondering....

as far as I know mollies are a brackish fish that can tolerate fully fresh to fully salt water. if a molly is in freshwater it should be able to acclimate to full salt in as little as 3 hours according to: http://www.saltcorner.com/sections/zoo/mollies.htm . Never tried it myself though good luck if ya wanna try

Yes,that's an olde way of cycling your tank with freshwater mollies,they can adapt over to saltwater.

i think they are a pretty fish expecially the sailfin mollies.....used to catch them in the wild and use them for bait when i lived in mississippi....

i might give it a try one day but i dunno........
