roll call

Hey Guys just trying to get a survey here of who is still around and checks here. I know alot of people are busy with other things and winter isn't here just yet but if you don't mind. Please just say hi here.
I know some people only check here once in awhile but all are welcome.

Would anyone be interested in getting together to have a metting this winter sometime?

yup im here
so i have questions... first off i don't know most of you so fyi i have a small 5 gallon hex. im rockin about 6 lbs of lr. i have a few snails a hermit and a damsel. i also have some polyps and zoos that i got from chuck. the tank only has 10 watts of compact florescent over it. ok. so im from Eau Claire but currently am living in Menomonie and going to school at Stout. I left my aquariums back home because i didn't feel like transporting any fish back and forth during vacations ect... every weekend i have to come home and do a water change on my little guy seeing as i don't have a skimmer. so thats my situation. what i want to do is upgrade my nano. i want to do this mostly for fun but also in hopes that i can get by with less water changes. i have a few unoccupied aquariums sitting around, one being a fun little 9 gallon bow front with some goofy dimensions. i think its 14 in long by 9 in wide its a fairly tall tank. next i have a standard 10 gallon with hood, aqua clear filter, and heater. lastly i have a 55 with everything id need for a freshwater setup. in addition i have 20 extra lbs or aragonite sand and a 150 watt metal halide light. one of the issues is the light is too powerful for any of the tanks that i have other than the 55 where it wouldn't be enough light. i think ideally i would need a 20 - 29 gallon to justify using the MH. what i would like to do is just dump everything from my 5 gallon into that 9 gallon. then just get some rubble to add in. the issue there tho is lighting. i would like at least 50 watts of light. i am having trouble finding fixtures of that bizarre length tho. if anyone has any suggestions let me know. the other factors are that i want to keep the aquarium fairly small because i know it will be moved around a few times in the next few years and i don't want to make the task anymore daunting than it already seems. also as i mentioned im in college and obviously the funds are low. so anyway thats my situation in an unorganized manor. im just looking to upgrade my small tank to have some fun and to open some options as far as what i can keep. but i want to keep the costs minimal ( around a hundo ). sorry for hijacking the thread, anyone with the power can move me it they want, i didn't mean to write so much...
