rock connection

What do you guys use for connecting rock together? I tried to drill(useing many bits to the size I needed) and well that didn't work.. almost but...I heard from one person tie wraps ... but I don't like those and it wont work for the rock I'm trying to use.

I just stack rock. I make it as steady as I can. However, if I needed to actually bond pieces together for safety or aesthetic reasons, I'd use an underwater epoxy to try and get the job done. Still, though, a good steady stacking is probably the best idea, even if you're gluing them. I wouldn't count on an underwater adhesive or drilled rods holding a delicate stack of rocks, it's just not worth the risk in my opinion.
