In a book I read once I think they soak the food in garlic which may make it tastier but also apparently helps to boost their immune system if he is having a hard time adjusting to his new environment.

The lawnmower blenny I used to have never ate any food that I fed. Most don't ever eat prepared foods and just eat off of what they find for algae in the tank. Lawnmower blennies don't chow down on the algae like tangs. Most only munch on the shorter strands of algae and wouldn't touch any longer strands. Mine didn't make a dent in the amont of algae that I had in the tank. He may be munching on the algae when your not watching, but not enough where you noticed any difference. Sorry that I don't have any better advice. You'll find out shortly if it is eating the algae or not.

I have had a lawnmower blenny for over a year. It eats the brown algea off the glass and some hair algea. Mine also likes frozen mysis, and frozen blood worms as well as a thawed piece of frozen shrimp when ever he can get it. Try spot feeding him, with the frozen stuff, but he may not let you, mine is rather shy about that. good luck

patience... it may take a week or so for him to get use to everything. mine didn't eat for a week after i first bought him. now spot is doing just fine and eating from a veggie clip that is being placed close to the sand/gravel bed.
