New 30 Gallon!!!
I got it! Now I just have to clean it up, set it up, and SPEND MONEY!!!
It's a really nice 30 gallon tank; I got it from Doc.
So... anyone selling LIGHTS, frags, lr, sand, etc. ... please pm or email me. I need to tear down the nano and relocate the 30 where the nano is first... ick. I'm going to keep the nano and try pipefish in it. The 30 gallon will be the 'everything' tank.
I'm so excited!!!

You're right Afish4u... the minimum tank size (I think is 30 gallon). Seahorses can be kept in a small tank but, they need vertical space to swim - also, not for my nano. I guess I won't be going with the pipefish for the nano. I'll have to find some other specialty to go with.

The tank is 30" long and 25" deep - a very nice tank. I have a light hood with lights in it, for now, but am looking to upgrade the lighting. I can't remember right now (too tired... long day) what type of lights they are. I think they are fust flourescent lights. I'll check with Doc and let you know. I was thinking of getting a MH pendant for it but, don't have the $$$ for that right now. I gotta get the basics first: sw, lr and live sand then I'll work on the lighting situation. But, any help is appreciated.
Thanks Mary and Kyle... I'll be in contact with you soon.

It is just the lights for a freshwater tank, or fish only. Standard striplight.

Hey I just tore down my tank, so I have a bucket of sand you can have. You will have an ammonia spike, but if you are not putting livestock in the tank right away it will just help the cycle along.

Well... it sounds like I have the basics covered; sw today, lr tomorrow am from David, and sand from Mary this week. Thanks everyone!!! I didn't think I'd get the tank up and going for a month or two... I have some wonderful friends!
Then on to the lights. Ouch!! This is gonna cost me!! I gotta get an additional job - anyone hiring?!?!? Greg need any help at the store?

The 30 gallon is up and running with a pump and a heater... has 25-30 pounds of live rock in it and (almost) filled with saltwater. No lights yet. It still has the chepo light on it from Wallyworld. I'm looking at the MH pendants to get for it. The live sand should be in it by the weekend.
Thanks to Doc, the nano is moved and the 30 gallon is where the nano was. The nano is up and running too; still has everything in it. Except, I took out the STUPID damsels. I'm keeping them in a bowl on the floor for my cats to play with. Hee Hee (they need to suffer for killing my pms)
I'll get pics posted as soon as I can borrow a camera.

Sounds great Petunia, can't wait to see some pics. I'm jealous, you got your 30 gal up and running in like a week and I'm getting close to a month and still haven't started cycling yet .
