Looking for MAG Flake
Hey Everyone!
I am looking for MAG Flake from the Dead Sea Works to help suppliment my Mag using Randy-Holms 2-part recipe. I don't know where to find it in the area. If you have some, or know where to buy it, please let me know. Also if I have to buy some, let me know if anyone wants to go in on the purchase (don't think I will need 25-50 lbs ).
Thanks!
David

I recall reading an article about "DIY 2-Part" online a few months ago, and they gave a link, IIRC, to where you can buy all the chemicals. Google is always helpful as well. Hope this helps!

Eventually I will try online, but I thought I would see if anyone in the area had some, or knows where I can buy locally. I would imagine shipping a 50 lb. bag of magnesium would be a little pricy.

Let me know if you get ahold of some David. I'd be interested in getting some too.
I know that you can buy smaller quantities online from Buckeyee Field Supply, but I haven't gone that route yet.

Brian,
I will let you know if I find any. I will keep my eyes open for it in the EC area.

I'd imagine it must be available locally... Magnesium chloride is used for melting snow, and this is Wisconsin. Have you tried calling local hardware stores and other places that would carry "industrial" snow melting products?

I haven't made any calls yet. I have tomorrow (Friday) off, so I might do a little searching then. Is anyone else interested in some if I can find a bag?
Thanks!

I just found out yesterday that TCMAS members found Magflake in the twin cities area. My wife went up there today for work and picked up a bag for me for $20. They are supposed to have a few pallets available and will try to keep some in stock all winter.
Here is the link to the TCMAS forum page.
