Menards. I'm running there tonight after work. I could pick you up some if you want, since I'm probably coming over for the stars...

You need to call me and let me know what size & how much you'll need. Give me a ring at work. I'll be here 'til 5:30 or so.

What size holes do you have there? and weren't you planning 1500gph (I thought you posted that somewhere) going through there?

DJ, your post wasn't descriptive enough to really help me understand 100% what you're looking for, but is this basically what you're wanting? If so, you can make something similar with various PVC fittings from Menards that won't cost more than a few bucks and your time/creativity. And, at like $8 a piece online from places like Marine Depot, it wouldn't be too expensive to buy the "real deal" even if you have to factor in the cost of ground shipping.

thats basically what im lookin for joe......been thinkin about building my own and doing a spraybar type with alternating holes to direst the current in different areas.....
ya the overflow is rated at 1500gph....the system will be powered by a mag12 nd will have ball valves to control flow....
ill also be running a 3/4 SCWD if thats not to small for what ill be doing???

I would ditch the SCWD. They're prone to having clogging issues and getting loud over time. I think a simple "T" works just as well. You'll have powerheads in the tank to create flow, so the SCWD will probably end up getting yanked out after a couple months if you try one, like I did... :-( It's a nifty concept, but the delivery isn't there. If you're serious about the concept, try an Ocean Motions Squirt or whatever those things are called...

i dont have to run the SCWD just something that i thought would be nice to try for the current changes....
im thinkin that the 3/4 would be too much of a knock down in the flow anyways....
but its here if i decide to try it.....
ill have 3 korilia 3's in the tank.....or may have to swap one of them for a nano or a #2.....with the way the overflow is im gona have a dead spot on one side that i gota figure out how to get flow into without having a #3 pointed down to far towards the sand bed....
but ill get all that figured out when i get water in it for the leak test so that way i can see what the flow will be before i add all the rock to it....
i have a return that i got from aaron that has dual returns on it.....but it hangs down into the tank....which might work on the one side for flow....hmmmm.....
im sure that this plumbing and flow is gona be a pain in my arse but itll be worth it...

I know the ocean motions and squirts are nice but not alot of people have the extra money to spend on them. Even at the price I get them at is still high for me but I do agree they do work really nice.
