live rock with RBTA + corals available

Here is a piece of live rock that we are thinking about offering available for the meeting. It has a large Rose Bubble tip anemone on it. It also has a few blue mushrooms and also a green striped mushroom. It has lots of zoos/zoas. They are just opening up in the picture I took this morning. There is a lot of purple/pink corraline algae & other life on the rock and it measures roughly about 8 x 5 inches.

We want to reaquascape and need some room in our tank... so we are thinking we could let someone purchase this large rock for their set up if we have some interest.

What do you do to keep the "bubble" on your RBTA's to stay like that all the time? Mine only shows the bubble about 1/4 of the time. I know that you don't just wait for the bubbles to show up to take the pics. Feeding? Additives?

Brian...I recently read somewhere that they lose the bubbles for awhile in captivity but eventually they do come back.

Sometimes mine will stretch out to the light more and lose some of that bubble look, and other times they are compact. I took this picture this morning, but I think as the day goes on they get larger and larger and the bubbles stretch out more. I would say overall though they have more bubbles than they did when I got my first anemone, so I think they do readjust to a new tank and the bubbles get more dominant again.

I think if you moved your smaller clone to the 125 you might see much more bubbles, since you have higher light in that tank? I also think over time you will see more bubbles as the anemones adjust- even if you leave them in the smaller tank.

I do not feed them much at all anymore. I used to feed them but cut way back. I just feed them what I feed my fish, the frozen marine varieties. I just add calcium, so I really do not do anything too special.

FYI: I may also have a couple of smaller anemones available in time for the meeting.

As for the large rock of corals with the RBTA I have shown, I will have to talk to Jeffish and figure a price for that rock when he gets back in town.
