I have A180 that the glass center brace broke. Any idea on how to fix before tank is in pieces?

Its 1/2 " glass got to hot for some reason fans didnt turn on water splashed on it and it shattered. Wondering if I could use A few bar clamps since tank is in wall and nobody will see them but me?

wow that sounds crazy for the glass to break. Is is possible to get another piece cut and silicone the heck out of it and put it on top of the other (with clamps obviously)?

That would be a good temporary fix. I would like to see pics to suggest a more permanent fix though.

Best is to get new frame, but a piece of plexi and some opoxy at each end with the bar clamp to hold the shape till dry.

thats a new one there.....you can install a clamp on it for now just to keep the tank from saggin out...but the epoxy and plexi should work just fine as a permanent fix

I have fixed a few of them and I used narrow acrylic strips but plexi would work but more sensitive to heat. One strip on top and one strip on the bottom. As for the use of silicone it flexes a bit when gets warm so I use a more solid glue like a two part marine epoxy mix.
