HQI set for sale!
ok I have an Odyssea 492 watt HQU fixture for sale.
has 2 150 watt HQI MH lights used under 6 months
2 x 96 watt attenics, one broke so it needs replaced the other is 2 months old with less than 1 months use.
has 6 moon lights all built into one enclosure. has remote ballast to keep heat away from tank.
asking $200.00 as this is what has been offered on it by someone who sells new and used equipment but I would rather offer it to a local reefer first.
It is located in Hudson and you are welcome to come by and look at it. I am having a few guys over sunday to talk tanks in the afternoon this would be a good time. It works no problems. I just replaced it with the hood of the new tank I am setting up to replace my old one.
I have to make room now so if no takers he will get it .
I wouild also trade it for a new tunze 6060 with the magnetic holder ?
any takers ? I would mnuch rather this go to a local reefer.

Every time I'm over near the Cities, I stop in. I haven't bought anything there or talked with the employees, but on the outside it seems like a nice store. Not World of Fish, but a nice little store with big little store prices ... Thanks for the warning.
I've read many less-than-stellar reviews about the Jebo/Odyssea fixtures. How would you rate yours? I've heard the quality is on the low side, but considering the price, it's not surprising. I'd like to try one, as I love the design of these HQI/PC fixtures, but I've heard of problems with bad ballasts and overall poor construction. But, I'd like to hear your opinion nonetheless. You say yours runs fine without any problems? If you give it a reefer's seal of approval, I might just try one of the smaller ones. Then again, depending on what you say, maybe not.
Thanks,
Joe

they work great this one I was going to split the balast up and add 2 cords so i could run 3 timmers , the new version has 2 power cords so you can do morning and daylight that is the only draw back right now. as far as bulbs go everone buys the brand they like and you can used any 150 hqi's and any straight pin 96 watters you choose. I really like what I got for the cost Paid around 400 for it. the only reason I dont need it is I bought JP's 90 gallon set up so this light wont work and besides that the 90 has its own lights.I sold my 75 gallon tanks to fresh water guys .....I hope lol
