Found my missing Yellow Watchman
My yellow watchman goby that dissapeared from my tank last March or April reappeared in my sump on Friday larger and healthier than ever. I thought that he must have died under some rocks and gotten eatten by the little critters. Instead, he must have jumped over the overflow weir, took a waterslide into the skimmer section of my sump, and topped if off with a ride over the waterfall into my refugium and return pump areas and fed off the critters in the refugium area - hence the reason why he is so big and healthy now. I removed my equipment from the sump area, caught him, and relocated him back into the main tank on Friday evening. All was fine on Saturday. When Sunday afternoon showed up and there was no sign of him again, I looked in the sump area to find him down there again. My guess is that he isn't going to stay in the main tank now that he's found the fun waterslide and waterfall. Now I need to decide if I should leave him in the sump area as his permanent home, put him into my already overcrowded 45 gal or give/sell him to my sister.

Hehe!!! I love stories of such adventurous fish! I'd love to see this in-person. What a cool fish.
Oh, and the RBTA and rock are still yours on the 28th so far unless someone else claims them soon. I've had an inquiry about the live rock, but so far it has not been claimed. RBTA is really getting beautiful again as it's making its comeback, so let me know if you're still interested in that, and I'll let you know what happens with the rock.

I think the problem is that the Watchman is greedily eating everything it can find in the 'fuge! But you're right, I'd keep him there too unless he was causing a big problem in some way. I'd show him to all my fish-keeping friends. :-)

Joe - Yes, I'd brobably buy both the RBTA and LR if they are both available on the Oct 28th.
As to letting the YWG remain in the sump, the only concern I have is that the sump is where I always add my additives. Adding pH raising chemicals to a small area with a fish in it can't be good for the fish.

Live Rock has been claimed. Brian, are you for sure going to be at Dirk's on the 28th? If so, I'll hold the RBTA for you until then. I know you'll give it a good home, and I'm more concerned about that than getting the money for it as quickly as I can. Heck, I'd even trade it for an exotic sps frag if you've got one to trade. That's really the reason the RBTA is going in the first place...to get rare sps in there without fear of them being stung by the anemone! Whether you want to pay for it or trade for it, it doesn't matter to me; I just want it out of my tank and to find a good new home where it'll be pampered like it was in my tank.
Let me know about the 28th Brian,
Joe

Afish4u,
Sorry, the "slide' part confused me...
Yes, I'm going for sure on the 28th. If anyone is interested in riding with me and sharing the cost of gas, PM me and we can figure it out. I have room for two others in my Impala, and I'll provide a "community cooler" for bringing any frags/livestock back.
Should be a good time, I'm planning to get into Red Wing around Noon, maybe a bit later. I'm told it peaks around 1-2pm, so I want to be there at the height of it all.

Never mind, I got it. The slide thing was about Brian's fish. Now that I re-read it I understood that. :-)
Invitation to fellow reefers to ride to Red Wing is still open, of course.

AFish4U - Lets see now - A little wood, nails, PVC pipe, .....sure I can build a waterslide. It would be a cool DIY project.... Don't be giving me any more ideas about building one.
Does anyone know what to except with the meeting at Dirk's? I'll try to get there around noon as well, as long as the people I'm coming up with can leave that early in the morning.

I PM'd Dirk and he said there will be many people there selling frags, maybe some fish, snails crabs etc. And he said there will also be dry good available, but I didn't ask much about what types of them. I believe he told me to PM him or post on the MN clubs' forums about anything specific to see if it will be available.
Me, I'm just going for a few frags, to meet some Twin Cities people, and to see what all is available. Should be fun.

I figured that I would go for the same reasons that you have - mainly just to check it out and to hope that someone might bring a few frags that I would be interested in.
