EV-120 Skimmer Finally Arrives!
It's about time! After a lengthy hassle with UPS, I've got my new skimmer, and for once it didn't arrive in pieces. I had to rearrange my equipment in my sump, but it's all up and running again.
Not producing anything yet, but there's really nothing to skim out, so I'm not at all concerned. And it's still breaking in anyway.
If you can see in the pictures, only the middle compartment of the sump has water in it. I'm going to drill a few holes through the lower part of the side baffles so I can use the side compartments to hold some water. The water level has to be below the baffle openings for proper skimmer operation unless I raise the skimmer even more, which I didn't want to do. So, a few decent-sized holes will allow good water circulation, and then I'll throw some LR rubble in the sides for added filtration. Should be nice once I get the work done.
