*Drumroll please* ECRC is going to Foster's for a TOUR!!!
I've been e-mailing back and forth with Foster's for the last couple days asking if we can do a tour of the coral facility up in Rhinelander this Fall. We're going to do it in early or mid-October. I should be hearing back from Foster's this afternoon or tomorrow sometime with possible dates that work best for them. But, I just wanted to let you all know so that you can try to keep the first couple weekends in October open.
Sorry, but I'm not going to do a "what date?" poll or anything. Fosters is going to set a date for us and we're going to stick with it. It's just too much work to try to "set" a date ourselves, and with a couple months' warning and the fact that we're going in the Fall, it should mean that people can mark it on the calendar now and make sure they have that date available to make the trip. So, stay tuned for the exact date. FWIW, I did let them know that Sundays seem to be working better for people lately than Saturdays. But, we'll see what date we get!
Since LARK-ers are most certainly invited, I was thinking we could make it a mini ECRC meeting as well. Maybe have everyone meet at my place or Jen's or DJ's (or whoever it works best for) for a quick look at his/her/my tank, and then hit the road to Foster's. And then on the way back, maybe a quick stop at another member's place for a look at another ECRC member's tank(s). Of course, we shall figure out the finer details later...
Here's the link to the info, though it's all still the same as when the LARK tour went up there at the end of June. http://www.liveaquaria.com/general/g...al_pagesid=468
So, please let me know who all is interested in going right now, and make sure you leave the first couple weekends of October open until we have the for-sure date. I'll post more info as I have it!
Thanks,
Joe

SWEET! I'm glad this is getting such good response already. No e-mail still from them about date(s) yet, so I guess it will probably be tomorrow...

Still haven't heard back from them. I'll give them until tomorrow afternoon, and then I'm going to send a couple emails and beg for an update.

Saturday, October 17 it is! 12-4pm in Rhinelander and we'll try to arrange something in EC as far as a quick look at an ECRC tank and meeting up to carpool and save some gas money and the environment.

I'm so there, leaving the wife at home though, she has the Womens Expo in Rochester that weekend. Hmm, maybe will have to increase my spending limit.....
