I bought a Cannon Powershot for around 200 bucks a year ago. I love it. It seems to take good pics for me. It is a 3.2 mp has a 3x lens zoom, and up to 10x digital. Seems to be a good camera for me.

i hear only good things about the Kodak Easyshares
I have a Nikon coolpix 4600 (4MP). cost is about $180. I dont really like it though. it was a replacement for a Fuji finepix S3000 (3.2MP). the Fuji is by far a better camera. Bought that one on e-bay for $135, in a store = $300. this nikon has a really slow recycle speed (takes almost 10 seconds before you take another shot) also has a very slow zoom. easy to use though with good pics as well. my next one will either be a fuji, minolta, or Kodak.
cant say enough about my old Fuji, Im sure the thief is having a great time with it!

DevilBoy - Check out http://www.steves-digicams.com/ for digital camera reviews. It is one of the best sites for digital camera reviews. There is a review for the Kodak DX7440. It is listed under his "Best Digicams" section. The Kodak digital cameras are a good, but basic camera for beginners. They do not have some of the adjustment settings that you can do with some of the other brands. Some people consider the simplicity a bonus, others like to be able to have the option to fine tune settings.
