Corals I found in LaCrosse
This is a pinkish colored leather. We got both corals at Old Town Pets. Very good deals, and he said he was getting a bunch of stuff in this week.

This is possibly the lavender hairy mushrooms? He wasn't sure at the store what they were, but they sort of looked like them to me and I liked the price. They are not like my green hairy mushrooms which have green tips. These are green based with the lighter pinkish tips. Chazz, what do you think?
Hopefully they will grow like crazy as my green hairy mushrooms do, and I will have lots of frags.

Those look very nice, kinda hard to tell the real color though.Go to Aquacon and look at their Purple Frilly Mushroom Rock they have and see if that is what you have.

Lori, Is Old Town pets in Onalaska, or in LaX?

Hi Linda....
When Jeffish gets back he can post the directions, he has them w/ him. Or when Brian get online on Monday maybe he can describe where it is.
I mentioned to Mathew at Old Town that you
(one of our fellow EC area reefers ) may also be coming in to say hi within next couple of weeks.

He's had those mushrooms in there for a couple of weeks. Not sure why nobody bought them. I thought about it, but passed it up and got a different coral instead. They do have a nice tooking lavander base on them.
Olde Towne Pets is located on the SW corner of the Clinton St./Caledonia St. intersection on La Crosse's north side near Copeland Park.
Directions:
Hwy 53 south to Clinton Street. Note: Hwy 53 South coming from EC turns into Hwy 157 at the I-90 interchange. To continue on Hwy 53, go west on I-90 to the next exit (Exit #3) and take 53 South. Clinton St. is the 4th set of stop lights. Take a left on Clinton St. and go one block. That is Caledonia St. The store is located on the SW corner of the intersection. I do not know the address. There are signs in the window and you can see aquariums though the window. The sign about the store has not been changed yet. I can get an address so you can mapquest it if you would like. The store's phone number is (608) 784-0316.

Nice buys!!! I go to LaX ocasionally for work, maybe I'll have to stop in there. What kind of prices do they have? I'm looking for a red brain coral or a short tentecled plate coral (not green), think I'll be able to find one of these there?
Keep us posted on the new additions' growth. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the directions.

I didn't see either one of those corals, but he said Tuesday he is getting a bunch of stuff in, so maybe Brian can let us know. His prices seemed much more competitive than what we usually see,

I have yet to see him carry any brain corals yet, but I should ask him to get a couple in. An open brain coral and a clam are about the final two corals that I would like to add to my tanks. He has carried plate corals in the past, but not since he has moved to the new store. My guess is that he will be carrying them again sometime soon. As for prices-he does not post prices so I am not sure what he charges the typical person. Probably less than me. So I will not post his prices, but will say that they are typically much less than TW.
I'll try to get over there on Tuesday to see what he gets in. Let me know when you are going to be coming down. I can try to stop by the store and let you know what he has.
