black egg crate???

hey guys.....anyone know where to find black egg crate.....im setting up a frag grow out tank and need some black egg crate...all i can find is white and would rather have black.....

Locally I'm not aware of any place that sells black egg crate, so unless you REALLLLLLLLLY must have it, you might just have to go with the white stuff Menards sells...

I was at work and seen the covers for the rest room lights are covered w/ egg crate...I than had a ban thought...of I could so use that(thoughts also included JACK IT) than I state nah...thats so wrong

ya i found i on google joe.....but thanks ust wondering if anyone knew of anyone around here that sells it. isnt there a plumbin and electrical place off the side of 53 in between the northcrossing and birch?

I've never seen black egg crate sold locally. IF you can find it make sure you get the larger squares if you're gonna use it for frags, otherwise some of the plugs won't fit.

I've used krylon paint for white...works great...or...bulk reef supply has black...you pay shipping but it is very close & relatively cheap. I'd like to get a sheet or two as well.

Krylon is plastic paint, and many others have used it in tank with no problems. I did paint a frag rack and it worked great. Less algae growth on it than on white, not that it matters much.

the only reason i wanted black was so it doesnt look so BLAH....i had made some frag baskets outa the white and didnt care for how they looked...

i may try the krylon once i set the tank up......its gona have minimum live rock and more than likely a barebottom...but havent decided on that yet....i do have sand but ill have to wash the mess out of it....

Yea that place viking electric off 53 has black eggcrate or at least they used to.
