I have found it very difficult to get consistently high-quality fish, inverts, and dry goods here in Eau Claire. Peggy at All-Reef just north of Hudson is the place where I exclusively go to buy my stuff now. Her prices are a bit on the high side if you compare to internet prices, but you don't have to pay shipping and she carries by far the highest quality livestock I've ever seen in a LFS. Plus, she's always available to talk with you about any questions/concerns you have, and she'll go out of her way to make you happy. For instance, I talked with her about specially ordering some female
flasher wrasses for me a while ago, and the other day she put in an order for a
metal halide bulb I want to purchase from her. Anyone who hasn't been there is missing out on some of the best quality goods/care in the business. It's well worth the hour drive from Eau Claire, as far as I'm concerned.
