I've got my AquaC EV-120 that I'd like to sell so I can spend some money on other things.
It has been in-use for eight months on my 75gal. It was cleaned regularly and was taken care of nicely. It is in nearly-new condition with only a few minor scratches. It contains the John Guest connection for use with kalk, ozone, etc. I ran my
kalk reactor into the John Guest connection with no problems and was very please with how that feature worked out so well. The EV-120 is very compact compared to other skimmers on the market with similar performance. It fits easily into the smallest of spaces under stands and in small sumps. It does not come with the product manual, but this can be downloaded at AquaC's website:

This skimmer does not come with the pump, as I'm keeping the Mag 5 to add more circulation to my current setup. There is a 3/4" barb on the inlet to the spray injector. AquaC recommends the Mag 5 as the feed pump, but others have claimed better performance (AquaC also notes this) with the Mag 7, which may need to be throttled back a little bit with a valve.
This skimmer just received a bath in vinegar and was rinsed with freshly-made RO/DI water. It is ready to be put in a sump (or can be run externally) and attached to a pump so it'll start skimming right away with hardly any break-in period. This skimmer is conservatively rated for 120gal, but I think it could go above that, provided the stocking level is not extreme.
I am getting rid of this skimmer because I was running two skimmers on my moderately-stocked 75gal. I'm keeping my Euro Reef because it works better with my sump setup. The performance of the the two brands was nearly identical, with both skimming extremely well. The EV-120 is actually quite a bit quieter than my Euro Reef, and operates nearly silent.
If anyone has any questions, please ask them by replying to this thread. It is being posted in three places, so forgive me if it takes a little bit for me to respond; I'll do my best!
I do not have a set price on this skimmer. PM me to make an offer. Any offers made via replies to this thread will not be considered. I am only accepting PM's because of the "time stamp" on them which will tell me who made the first offer that was an acceptable price for me. As soon as I have received an acceptable offer, I will reply to that person. Following confirmation of the purchase, I will mark the item as sold on the thread.
I would prefer a local buyer in the
Eau Claire, WI area, in which case cash, check, or Paypal are acceptable for payment. Buyer can meet me somewhere or pick it up at my house on the South side of Eau Claire. If you live outside of Eau Claire but will be in the area and want to pick it up, fine by me!
The item can be shipped for $20. If this is the case, Paypal is required and the skimmer will be shipped as soon as payment is cleared by Paypal.
Thank you for looking, and don't hesitate to reply with a question or PM me with an offer. Marine Depot sells this skimmer without a pump for roughly $300. This is in excellent condition and I am willing to let it go for a fair amount less than that, so you have the chance to get a great skimmer for an equally great price. All you have to do is supply a pump with approx. 500-600gph output to run into the skimmer.
Thank you for reading, and I hope to hear from many of you soon with offers!
-Joe
