It's hard to find ECRC photos on here, so that's why I didn't spend much time digging through to find them. As for the pictures I used, there were some that I got by just doing screen shots off my Macbook Pro, where I select an area of the screen with a stretchable box to be saved as a photo file. The ones from TRT's homepage were done that way, and I just captured portions of the pictures that I thought stood out, since I knew that I had fit lots of color and livestock from the photos into a small piece of 8.5 x 11" paper. It wasn't my intent to remove copyright watermarks from the photos, it just happened that the copyright from that one photo got taken out while I tried to zoom in on the "action shot" I wanted from the photo.
I will be the first to admit that I used others' photos in the process of assembling this rough draft of our advertising flyer. Photos can be changed as needed and such, but I thought that the pics I found looked really stunning and would be great attention-getters. As far as the mermaid/ECRC logo, I pulled that off our little website thingy that I found. I assumed it was ok to use it on the flyer since it had already been on the web for years...
I like the idea of little tear-off tabs for the bottom part, but I don't know the best way to implement that. I'll marinate on that idea and see what I can maybe come up with.

I think the flyer looks great Joe! Even if you have to/want to change the pics, itll still catch peoples eye. And like aaron said, I think the pull tabs (even if they do look tacky) would be great. Its convient for the person to grab and pull off the website, plus it shows if people have shown interest. You guys seem to have a great start trying to get the club active again, keep it up!

I intend on coming up if you guys have a meeting or something. I haven't a problem with the drive timeor gas since our ("cute" thanks Jen :P) car gets like 40 mpgs. Just seems like we might as well create a SEMN/SW&CWI club. Seriously because we're all so close that LARK has kinda become the center for all of our clubs. Plus Matt's store is a hub we all frequent. Nothing against you ECRCers I still like you guys I hope there aren't any hard feelings.

I have had the same thought pass thru my mind as far as a unified club. Maybe we should be like a bike club. Have a club that is comprised of chapters etc. We could be SEECLAX(southeast mn, eau claire andlacrosse) and each would be their own chapter. So forme I would be SEECLAX club, southeast mn chapter. Just a random idea.

odie you either have way to much time on your hands or you just a very good imagination. SEECLAX at first sounds like a bad STD or just a tounge twister. Then i sat back and said it over in my mind and it can grow on a person. I like the idea and would like to see it come together.

Here's an ECRC poster that I added tear-off website info to. This is just the screen shot of what it looks like. I'm perfectly fine being the one to print and pre-cut the flyers and such, but is there a volunteer to take them to places around town? I'm way too busy right now to drive all over town and ask to hang them at places. But, I'll prep the flyers for someone else to hand-deliver. Any volunteers, please?? Maybe this can help us grow as a club and get some new members!!
Thanks,
Joe

I would love for there to be more meetings in EC!! I tell everyone I ever talk about SW with to log onto TRT especially people at petco. I know some people in menomonie that would come too. yeah and for sure Jim doesnt like us cause he over heard me telling some of his customers about our lil fragging parties one day and i dont think he likes me any more but you know the customers always right and his prices are way high. but if theres a meeting in EC Im there.

i can put them out in a few places. Im in EC everyday and always go to petco and tropics at least to look. .... I can even put some up on the light post in the parking lot of tropics if knowone objects... It might not last long but if it gets a couple hits it would be welcome i think.

I don't think that's a good idea...
I think we should stick to posting them in places we have permission. Defacing public property isn't something we want associated with ECRC.
Grocery stores, laundromats, veterinarian offices, groomers, shelters, places like that usually have bulletin boards. We could even try Petco and Petsmart. Just ask at the front desk if you can put something up.
Joe - I'll do a couple, too. If you could email it to me and I'll just print them out myself.
I also think it would be a good idea to post where you've put them. Save the rest of us time.

Jen, could you PM me your e-mail address? That goes for anyone else who might want to print them him/herself! Just cut the flaps on the bottom and maybe perforate the upper edge or whatever you call it when you make lots of little cuts so it's easy to tear off cleanly... I also think it'd be great if people were to post where they've hung one up, so that we don't waste any of our valuable time.
