Hope you boys (and girls) are going to get things moving again...LARK is truely lucky that we have such an active group of people. Certainly, our local shop has been benefical to us recently, but we've had 40+ people at meetings for some time now. OTP has broadened our scope, and I hope has improved his business as well. OTP Matt has really stepped it up with livestock, and getting in what we're asking for...my hat is off to his efforts. Though it is his biz, it's hard to keep up with 60 some people who do this for fun. I'm pleased with how the area has seen growth, and know that EC has good, knowledgable people...only you're closer to a HUGE area with TCMAS. Many of you are very involved in LARK, and should be proud of how well it's going for all of us. I'm only sorry that you have to drive to get here. Please stay involved, we enjoy all of your company and experiences!
Matt H.

Work was busy today, and tomm should be as well. But, I'll do my best to take an hour or two tomm if I can and start working on a flyer.

Welcome. I don't know how many members ECRC has, but I'd say probably around 10-15 right now, though not very many of us from EC are very active on The Reef Tank right now. La Crosse has a HUGE club, LARK, that is also on TRT. We're trying to get a meeting going for ECRC, but it might be a while since the Summer is always so busy and it's so hard to get people together on a weekend when the weather is so nice and kids aren't in school, etc.
With ECRC being in a slower period of the club's history, a few of us are extremely active in LARK and drive to La Crosse frequently to visit their store down there and/or go to their crowded, fun meetings.
There's no official "membership" in ECRC or any dues or anything. So, welcome!

I finally got an ECRC Poster worked on for use at Petco or wherever we want to hang it. This is the first draft (screenshot of my computer screen, as the file is too big to upload to TRT):
THESE ARE NOT MY PHOTOS. These are photos mostly from TRT, as well as a couple others. I also used the TRT logo in the poster. If the TRT mods have a problem with the logo use, I can remove it. If you are the owner of one of the photos I am using and request it to be removed, I will happily oblige and find a different photo(s) to use. But, I think we're all here to promote our hobby and share photos and such anyway, so I hope nobody objects to me using these images to help bring people to TRT and our local club, ECRC.
Thanks,
Joe

Thanks, Nick. I'm going to try to make it down to Winona asap next week to pick up the Pokerstar colony that you'll be holding for me. When will you be free? I'm hoping to maybe do it Monday or Tuesday, depending on when I schedule myself off at work. Being the manager and making the schedule around what you want to work is awesome!!

Oh, and please be extra sure to give my new baby a nice, long, slow acclimation (if you wouldn't mind, of course). Don't want to put any undue stress on the soon-to-be new centerpiece of my tank!

No problem, just give me a ring when you get the work schedule sorted out and we'll get it figured out.

Well, I can take pretty much any weekday off next week. So, what works the best for you? I could come down during the day or in the evening...whenever... lol
I was thinking maybe Tuesday?
Let me know what works best for you,
Joe

Tuesday evening works for me. I'm going to schedule myself off that day, and I'll maybe visit La Crosse during the afternoon and then hit you up in the early evening to pick up my Pokerstar. Cool.

Joe just my 2 cents but it might be nice to keep club tank shots on the ad. The one pic looks like it was from chucks tank but the other one. I don't know whos that is and if someone were to ask then we could say yes this is from so and so. As far as TRT logo. I don't believe its legal to put on there with out written permission. I also noticed the copy write was cut off in the picture. Was the mermaid ever determined where that came from also. Yes petunia set it up but can the it be back tracked anywhere? Small chance of ever getting into a problem with this stuff but if its put up in someone else store that may or may not cause problems unintenionally.
Would it pay to make the bottom have pull off tabs with the website on it? This way it might help us know to if people are taken tabs/ interest. I know I never have a pen or paper on me. It might make it look a little tacky but then again who knows. Just my .02 It does look nice though
