My loss...your gain. (SPS Corals for sale - CHEAP)

Hi guys!

Some of you may remember me. Some may not. But anyways..hehehe

Things here have been quite busy. Last you may have heard, I had a baby boy. Well, since then (which was only 15 months ago), I've had another baby girl. Well, technically, my wife had them. I just watched.

anyways...

Like many others who find themselves in my boat...I just don't have the time for the tank anymore.

SOOooo. That means, it's gotta come down. But I gotta get rid of the living inhabitants first. I am NOT a business. This is simply me trying to get rid of some nice corals before I tear the tank down.

And that's where YOU can benefit. Anyone looking for really cheap corals, (some are fairly mature colonies) it's your lucky day.

All of these corals are over 2+ years old (some are 4+ years old) and have been in a tank that has not been fed in over a year. (not a single flake/cube/etc). And are doing GREAT!

The tank is very stable and because of that, I have been lazy, and have done only a rare few water changes since then, (relax, I have no serious/agressive algae problems, just a lack of tank cleaning). During this time, all the corals have grown quite extensively, without any help on my part. Had a few incidents too (involving temperature/top off problems), and they all survived miraculously.

Point being, these are all pretty tolerant corals provided your tank is somewhat mature/stable.

Picture of my tank

I have mostly SPS's, but have a few LPS's. Below is a list. Let me know if youre intersted (post here, or via PM):

Large Corals:
[SPS] Green Slimer acropora (about the size of a football) - $75
[LPS] Trumpet (~100 polyps...LARGE) - $75
[LPS but kinda SPS] Australogyra zellipora (RARE) - $75
[SPS] white/flesh colored acropora (about the size of a baseball) - $50
[SPS] Peach pocillopora damicornis (about the size of a baseball) - $50
[SPS] brite pink acropora milli (slightly smaller than a baseball) - $50
[LPS] Euphyllia (hammer - pear size) - $40
[LPS'ish] bright purple w/tan polyped Gorgonia (~8" and 3 branches) - $40

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME: My best piece...
[Zoas] mushroom richordia really bright Pink ~20 large polyps / 6-8 large bright Blue - all on a ~10lb piece of live rock. This one can't go until the green slimer and peach pocillo go, since they're on a rock supporting the rock those SPS's are on. - $100
Not only is this a STEAL, these guys will pay for themselves in like 6 months. They split frequently. Not to mention, the live rock's worth almost $100 itself.

Medium / Almost Small
[SPS] green monti cap (half a dollar bill sized) - $30
[SPS] mint green acro (seriously mint green colored. 3x frag size.) - $30
[SPS] tan/purple tip acro valida (3x size of a frag) - $20
[SPS] pink monticap (maybe 3x size of a frag?) - $20
[SPS] brown/purple monti digi - $20
[LPS] Merulina (half dollar?) - $20
[Zoa] "Silver Surfer Snot" Zoa's (Clear/lime green mouth. 9-10 large polyps) - $40

Small Frag's - All $10
[SPS] Brown/Puple acro
[SPS] Pink Milli (2 of them)
[SPS] orange birds nest (only a piece of what is in the picture)
[LPS] elephant skin (fragged by E. Borneman himself!! haha seriously)
[SPS] A few odds and ends that I'll probably just give away if you decide to pick up something else too.

Good Deal: A ~5lb rock with about 6 or 7 different Zoa variety clusters, some of which are:
bright pink
navy blue with light blue center
hunter green with bright green center
hunter green with orange center
light blue with yellow center
fire red with light red center
Gaia

If you want all, or a bunch, let me know, I'll hook you up with a group deal.

If there's someone out there who's set up an SPS tank, and waited a bit for the tank to stabalize and you wanna stock your tank ... This is for you!

I am hoping to sell these to local people...as I"m not sure i have the material to ship these out.

Looking to tear this tank down inside of a month, so whatever you guys don't snatch up before then will more than likely be for sale at the LFS's in my area in the end. (for LOTS more than I'm asking).

Also, when all the corals are gone, gonna have some LR for you guys...and a highway robbery prices!

(wow...I feel like a used car salesman).

Kidding aside, looking to get rid of these corals and hoping to help you guys out with some good deals in the process.

Contact me for more details.

(ps. Gonna try to come back later today and make the above listings point/link to pictures I've taken and posted here of these corals over the years. Just dont' have time right now to take new pics, but I have lots of pics of these corals in my gallery/posts/etc. They look even bigger and better now..and I'm not just saying that to sell them.

But like I said, gonna try to link them later).

Do you have any more pics of the mushroom richordia rock? I really like it but need to make sure it isn't too large for my tank.

Ask and ye shall receive :
(keep in mind, this piece can't go until the green slimer and peach pocillopora go, and this rock is holding up the rock those two corals are on, and they're too big to go elsewhere)

(as of Feb 28th, BEFORE I did my last water change). There are a few of each, that have split since then)

To give you a better sense of scale, here is a FTS (tank is a 75 gal bowfront):

and while I'm at it, I'll post a few more recent pics of some of the other ones.

The ~5lb zoa covered rock I had mentioned:
(in the interest of full disclosure, there are probably 10% less zoa's now then there were in this picture. Due to a bit of a sanddrifts covering parts of it. However, this has happened in the past, and while they seem to have disappeared, some pop back up after a while).

Really sad about loosing this guy. Bit of a slow grower, but really neat.
Got this from Tdwyatt.

For now, I'll leave it at that. If you have something special you'd like to see, let me know and i'll try to get a pic up. But for now, here's a FTS from Feb 28th. You can see almost all the corals I'd mentioned here:

Bump ^

no takers?

This is a REALLY great deal, seriously.

Some of these corals would easily go for a couple hundred dollars given the size/maturity of these colonies.

I'm just looking to get these guys off to a good home and only asking a fraction of what they're worth.

Heck..if you want, you could even frag a piece for yourself, then turn around and sell them elsewhere and make some profit!

I need to tear this tank down in like 2-3 weeks, so my lack of time is to your gain.

Any questions about my set-up? Want a more recent picture prior to deciding, I'm more than willing to do that. Just respond here with which piece(s) your interested in, or drop me a PM.

Hey i really like your Peach pocillopora.

I have a question though, i have a 55gal with a t5 fixture. its 2x54w.
Now, if i buy this coral, honestly, would it survive under this lightning or not?

I am really interested in it but dont want to waste my money. I live in Howard county area!

Honestly? (despite the fact that I'd love to sell this coral)...probably not.

Do you have plans on upgrading your lighting soon?

What's your setup like?
