Hi, am new to the hobby but old timer on the web thing...(also my living)

I might suggest opening the site up for non-registered users for a couple reasons.

Traffic begets new members.

The image gallery I would think is the main attraction to any site for new visitors. Getting contributions on a regular basis is pretty important (we all like seeing new stuff I would bet)

Unless you are trying to generate a mail list (not always such a good idea today) membership really is moot if they only join to look at a couple pictures. Any genuinely interested visitors are going to register anyway if they like what they see and want to post images themselves.


Forums are all over the place and no point in trying to generate much in that direction. This site as well as a couple others really do have tremendous resources (users) already. Plus they give you a thread such as this one for club talk or announcements.

If it is a question of bandwidth or such, I would be happy to give a free hosting account to this endeavor. I have been in the hosting business for 4 years and so have a pretty good idea of the technical end and can provide some help there.

Perhaps a more marine oriented theme for the Nuke site would be nice too? There are some really talented guys out there turning out some quality stuff for free too.

If you would like the free server space for the domain, just let me know and I will get you a setup code for the free account. (I also have voice chat servers)
