Hi, Mary,
I am interested in the Scutus snails. What types of algae have you found them to eat? Do you consider them reef-safe?

Definitely reef safe. They have been breeding in our main coral system and greenhouse for over a year and none of us have ever observed them feeding on coral. In the tanks where they are most prevalent, there is no indication of coral deterioration as a result of the scutus feeding on the corals. We do see them constantly grazing the sides of the tank eating all kinds of algae- brown, green, etc..
