I will be getting 2 pairs of
dwarf seahorses here in about 3 weeks, and I have their tank cycling and everything now. I have a 2.5 gallon set up that I've used before successfully. My question is, that I've heard feeding live food is a must with these guys, but buying live food is expensive and would put a major dent in my pocket book. I can't find live food under $50. I was thinking of hatching my own brine shrimp, adding a liquid calcium and vitamin supplement to them, and mixing in some frozen mysis shrimp. Would this be a suitable mixture for them? Also, I haven't done this for a while, and I want to be sure I acclimate them correctly, what would be a good amount of time/procedure to introduce them into the tank? Thanks!
