On the other board you said you were from Swannanoa, signing up to these forums where people go to learn and trade info about a hobby to badmouth someone is pretty lame, get a life and go outside. Everything Fishy is a fine store with a great owner and smart employees, by all means people should still visit and support them. Just because there is one anonymous jerk who doesn't like the owner does not mean squat.

Everything Fishy is one of the finest LFS's in Asheville. I have never had a bad experience there, and I got an amazing deal on live rock. I highly recommend them. Your barely literate comments sure don't serve your credibility... what exactly do you feel you were cheated out of?

Our accusations are not bitter and transparent, they are based on experience with Everthing Fishy. Here are the reasons why we say to use caution with this store....
We bought a matched pair of clown fish from him a few months ago. We asked him how long they had been there and he said they had been there a while and that they were eating fine. The next day they both died from what we found out later was clown fish disease. We called to speak with him and he would not get on the phone with us. He told his employee to tell us that it was our problem because the fish were healthy when he sold them to us. We tested our water and tested his water and they were both fine. The fish were sick when he sold them to us, basically he told us that it was our problem. We were not asking for a refund or anything just partial credit or maybe even just an incling of care or sympathy that we had paid as much as we had for the fish and then the next day they died. All we wanted him to say was I'm sorry and at least act like he cared. What we got was an employee who told us, at his direction, that it was our problem.
Again we went there and put a deposit on a used filter system and he(Steve) took the deposit, our name and number and told us to pay on it as we could. We went back to get credit for the deposit because we decided we were not going to get the filter system and we asked his employee who went and asked him(he was there) and instead of him coming and telling us that we had forfeited our deposit(without him calling and letting us know anything about it - no warning), he told his employee to tell us that we had forfeited our deposit and then he left the store before his employee came back and told us. That, in our opinion, was very unprofessional of him. He should have told us that himself instead of walking out of the store and leaving his employee to tell us.

Before all this happened we had spent several hundred dollars in his store. That is the reason we do not understand his lack of care in these matters.
These are the reasons why we say to use caution at Everything Fishy. We have had 2 bad experiences with them and have a right to voice our opinion. We are not anonimously bashing him on the internet, we have good reason to warn people about his business practices.

We apologize in advance if this upsets anyone but this is our experience with Everything Fishy!
