Hello. My name is Dave Strack, and hopefully it won't seem too presumptuous to introduce myself and the LFS we are opening in Asheville. I've been keeping fish for over 22 years and I have a real passion for the hobby. I'm opening a store that I think a true hobbyist will appreciate and invite you all to check us out in March.
The Asheville Aquarium is the store's name, and it is located off Patton near Sam's on the west side of Asheville. We have been working on the design and construction of the store since December and, while we've encountered some delays due to permit issues, schedule conflicts and some design changes to our systems,... I think we've overcome all the obstacles and should be able to open no later than the 2nd week of March. The store is going to be geared for the saltwater and reef enthusiast, but also have plenty for everyone from freshwater beginners on up. At any rate I think we're going to create a store that's slightly different than what's here now. I've spoken to some Asheville
Reef Club members and I'm looking forward to working with the group to help us both get noticed.
