I am starting a reef system from scratch, and very excited about it. There a few questions that I am trying to get answers to, but not having any luck.
- Why is live rock so expensive? Can I use dead rock as a base, and eventually it will grow it's own bacteria?
- My 180 gal tank has not cycled yet, and I have 9 fish in there that are very entertaining to watch. Can I add any other "sturdy" critters in there to add to my tank?
- Finally, I have a Pro Series Sealife System wet/dry filter that has horrific instructions. There is a in sump protien skimmer that only has 2 pieces, is anyone familiar with this filter?
