Thanks

The tank is lit by 6*55W PC's. I wanted them all to be 6700K but I broke 3 of the bulbs so I put in old 10K bulbs from my SW tank. Right now all the bulbs in the back are 10K and all the bulbs in the front are 6700.

Very Sweet! I tend to let my tank get GOOD and overgrown and then go in and yank out a 5 gallon bucketfull or so of plants. Feels like a whole new tank. I never can get good pics of the plant tank, the color never looks quite right.

That is a lovely tank.

It looks great!!! That is alot of hard work. My Mini 7 was planted before it was a reef.

Thanks, I tend to get lazy with trimming myself, but I think it would be a better idea to trim a little at a time (If I could ever get around to it).

I can't really get a proper picture of anything, some of the pictures here are perty good, but some are total crap. I accually need to update these pics, the tank has changed a bit, I have ground cover now!

Thanks,
Whiskey

Not as much work as one would think, It took a fair amount of work to setup, and build the stand/hood, and plan the lighting, aquascape, filteration ect, but accually taking care of the tank is perty easy compaired to my SW tank.

The MAJOR thing that makes it so easy is the drain in the bottom of the tank, I reccomend anyone who is setting up a large freshwater tank put a drain in the bottom of the tank for water changes. It takes almost no time, just drain it to the bathtub, hook the hose to a sink and fill it back up.

Thanks,
Whiskey

Thanks VWD, I just came back here to update this thread accually. The last picture is getting a bit old and I thought this thread was in need of a few pics. My photography skills still stink though

Thanks,
Whiskey

Ok, I have some new pictures for everybody. The first three are full tank shots; I find it interesting that depending on the angle I shoot my tank from the color shows up differentially. It is a real annoyance; also that I can’t get a full tank shot to show up in a picture the same way it looks in person. The tank looks almost “cartoonish” if that is even a word. If anyone knows how to fix the super bright look of the leaves on top and the ground cover in photoshop let me know, that is a real annoyance of mine.
The full tank shots:

Some REALLY REALLY cool macro shots I took. I should do this more often because they came out just right color and everything!

Thanks for looking,

Sweet tank! My mom runs an assortment of planted FW tanks, never know what all she has going. Looks like you have a very nice set-up going there!
