Great shots

I wondered how long it would take ya to stumble in

How do you like the Koi Angel? I think they are great I was reading up on them in the last fw mag I had at work.

These guys are great the coy really has a lot of orange in her. They are typical full grown angels not a lot of movement even though they are in a 30 gal to themselves. They hang around the slate all of the time. This particular pair are quite a mix by accident. One was brought into the store by somebody and the same day the other was brought in. They paired up immediately, I bought them 2 daays later as a pair for 20 dollars, brought them home feed them well and was rewarded a week later with a slate full of eggs. Well all of the Angel breeders said give them a chance to raise their first set of eggs well I did they ate them. It has been about two weeks since they polished them off. I figure they will lay another set soon, when they do the slate will be coming out this time. I am not a big fan of large fish but I really liek the Angels how they act like royalty.
The black molley is still my favorite, these guys are always active and act liek they are starving to death all of the time, When I do a water change they raise their sails and swim all over the tank. I think they appreciate a water change more then anyone else, So I give them a water change twice a week, where everyone but my babies only get one a week. The babies get one every day.

As a general rule cichlids will eat thier first 2 or 3 broods of eggs and babies but if ya can get them to hatch and eat away from the parents go fer it. I had a hard time getting mine to live after 2 weeks unless they were withthe parents.

Just a hint I have found that a piece od pvc pipe works well for them to lay on also put is at like a 45 deg angle in the tank.

Good luck with the next batch

Neat stuff you have there...

what makes a Koi Angel a Koi Angel?

i don't know enough about angels to know what the distinction is.
