Smokey Water in New Tank?

Hello
I have been running a 29 gallon reef for 2 years. I also had a 12 gallon JBJ which I just transfered to a freshwater setup---The tank has been cycling for about a week with new JBJ sponges, ceramic rings, and carbon. I added cycle, and pinpoint PH 7.0...The tank looked great for the first week but now it looks like "smoke" blowing around the tank. It does not look like air bubbles or cloudiness--but--"smoke"....Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tested the water for amonia? I am almost sure thats what it would be but check it to make sure. Wait it out all will be ok. DOnt add anything to it as you will be sending it to almost a certian death.

Thanks Jeff----Is it possible to have Ammonia without having any livestock?---Please bare with me ----this is my first freshwater tank in years...Anthony

Yes it is if you added cycle some of the bcteria from that will cause amonia.

Basically to answer your question yes you can hehehhe
