Howdy Alice I did some thinking bout this and there are a cpl i would start with. There is Aquariums for Dummys and also The Complete Aquarium By Peter W Scott. The dummy's book is pretty basic but will help the kids. Like I said its pretty basic but not to bad of a book. Covers Fresh brackish and also touches on salt. There are some things in the salt part youll know better about but Ill let you pick those out hehehe
