pregnant platy

I realize this is nothing extraordinary but....
Well my dad has a 25g freshwater community. I know nothing about breeding fish but any info would be great.
It'd be cool to raise the little guys.
So how do I do it?
any advice things to read
other fish are mostly a mix of tetras and rasboras.
So I'd have to seperate them some how?
thanks guys!

You will have to separate the babies and the adult fish or they will be lunch. I used to use one of those breeder tanks for them the put the babies in a hang on the tank net that can be bought at most any LFS. Feed them baby brine or even flakes crunched up very small. Remember not to overfeed the young.

thanks Jeff
since they are livebearers is it best to put the mama in the baby breeder thing now and take her out after the babies are born? Should the dad be put in there too?

Yes, just take the mother out after the babies are born. Do not put the father in there - it's not necessary. The embryo's are already developing.

Well I have 3 babies it appears. So far they've been fed some ground up flake. Hopefully that will be good for them
How long until they reach their basic adult shape?
